Uniwersytet Muzyczny Frederyka Chopina/Frederyk Chopin Music Academy

architects. Witold Benedek, Stanisław Niewiadomski i Władysław Strumiłło
finished.1966

The oldest music school in Poland, founded in 1810, in 1979 it took its name from one of its first students, Fryderyk Chopin. It's original building was destroyed during WWII and in 1966 a new complex was built on the same sight. It houses an impressive program: 62 practice rooms, a 500 seat concert hall, several smaller auditoriums, 3 recording studios, a library, offices, cafeteria, student club and bookstore.

On warm days it's a good idea to picnic in the area because practice-room windows are left open and classical music wafts out into the city. Not only that, I recommend an exploratory walk from Tamka to Aleje Jerozolimskie through the parks at the edge of the skarpa (bluff). There are palaces and views to be found and admired and they are shady an cool on a warm day and totally cut off from the bustle of Nowy Swiat which is nearby.

Their Wednesday concerts are 15pln (a steal)
Here is their calendar.
